Cult of Blood & Bone
An evil cult dedicated to the worship of the original Jaq Bloodwake. The cult is lead by Jaq Bloodwake IV. The inner circle of the cult are all vampires as well as cannibals, while the second and third tier are just regular cannibals. Jaq IV serves as the Sanguine Pope, which is the highest rank. The 13 members of his inner circle serve as his Apostles of Blood, and below them in the second tier are the Bishops of Bone, and they lead the third tier, which are simply called Initiated. Each Apostle leads 13 Bishops, who are in turn in charge of 13 Initiates each, giving them a population of about 2,197 cultists, a large portion of them are immigrants from the mainland, and for the most part due to how small each individual coven of cultists are they are all highly fanatical. They are also for the most part unwitting pawns in Jaq IV’s goal of world domination.
The main doctrine of the Cult of Blood & Bone is that by consuming their victim’s body, they are consuming their victim’s very soul. While the cult is also very much dedicated to this doctrine, each member is also constantly vying for political power, much like Jaq IV. Members are forbidden from directly harming one another, but there is nothing against arranging ‘accidents’ or paying an outside member to harm a rival. Apostles are also not allowed to sire any vampires. The Initiated also have no idea that the Apostles and the Pope themselves are vampires, while the Bishops do know and covet a spot, and therefore immortality.
