Fumestu No Kage

Fumestu No Kage is the religion of the Genji clan. Though the full meaning of Fumestu No Kage is lost through translation it simply means, The Immortal Shadow.
The Genji Clan worships four Gods The Emperor and Empress of Balance who take physical form as the Head of the clan, Powers of the Deities are passed down from
Emperor and Empress to their successors, though not always blood The Emperor normally raises their successor while the empress is more commonly then not picked by the mortal
marriage of the successor. The minor Deities come in the Form of Light and Dark and gain the Titles of Shogun of light and Shade Shogun within the clan. This Religions belief directly
reflects the Genji way of life and their principles. Fumestu No Kage teachings are as stated.

  1. Pursuit of balance through the blood of light and dark.

  2. Pursuit of Knowledge through pain and pleasure.

  3. Pursuit of perfection through suffering and perseverance.

  4. Pursuit of immortality through death and life

  5. Pursuit of Perfection through Victory and Defeat

Principals of the clan

In all walks of life the shadow is forever present, though through mortal eyes the truth is always hidden. To truly become the shadow one must balance their self between the dark
and the light, one must center between Ying and Yang, to follow their path while balancing the forces of karma and staying true to their beliefs and logic.
The Genjis follow 6 simple rules.

  1. Loyalty to the clan before loyalty to life.

  2. Refrain from seeking power outside the constructs of the clan

  3. balance the forces through all lands they walk by bloodshed or mercy.

  4. Under no circumstance shall one reveal the nature of the clan to outside forces

  5. Pursue perfection in all walks of life but realize one may never obtain this perfection

  6. Live and die by Fumetsu no kage.

Origins of the Genji Clan

Nearly a million years ago the Shisou Clan indirectly and directly worked under the Emperor of Japan, The clans elite samurai acted as his guard and officers of the state traveling the lands to keep the shoguns in check, while the darker side of the clan annihilated Japans rebels and infiltrated the much larger kingdom china and its aggressive neighbor Korea, obtaining information to forever keep the land ahead of its rivals and enemies. During this period the head of the clan was Nakoma Kage Shisou a notoriously toxic man who helped bring some of the darkest days of Japan. Though powerful and intelligent Nakoma lacked ambition and courage he ruled behind the emperors word and refused to stand on his own, his brother Yamiten Genji found this distasteful and disrespectful to their blood line, at this time how ever Yamiten was a simple Monk following the Path of Fumestu No Kage attempting to bring peace to the world without letting blood fill the streets.

Though He was young and didn't fully understand the teachings of his religion he knew something had to be done about his brother. It was at this time he met a Old man who's skin dark as night with white tribal marks lay about an old Temple high in the Mountains of Japan. A Statue of the faceless Samurai known as Jo-shin and his loyal Dragonic Tiger Ken-sin  towered over all in the ruins of the temple. Yamiten sought to aid this old man who remained quiet and un-moving for weeks. During those weeks Yamiten stared at those statues with awe wondering what drew him to them and this man. after weeks the old man chuckled and told Yamiten to sit, to open his heart and soul to the statue and feel the aura it holds out so openly. With Doubt in his heart but curiosity filling his soul Yamiten followed the old mans instructions.

Days passed and Yamiten felt nothing until one day he felt the sting of bamboo striking him in the back of the head. This was the start of Forging of Yamiten. For months he spent his days mediating trying to feel the statues aura, Nights were spent being trained and practically beaten by an old man who shouldn't be able to fight. Finally after so many scars after days upon days of frustration Yamiten opened his eyes to the sound of the old mans voice, but there was no old man, no temple, no before him stood Jo-shin and a land not of light or dark but of balance of hope and despair of Power and weakness, love and hate. For the next Year Yamiten learned the true ways of Fumestu No Kage and becoming the Next Emperor of balance. Returning to the Heart of Japan Yamiten quickly won over the clan his brother had nearly lost to darkness, though not all sided with him and a civil war broke between the two sides nearly ripping apart the country until a faithful duel between Nakoma and Yamiten took place. Nakoma Lost his life that day and Yamiten Rose to the Head of the clan. No longer Shisou, the clan became Genji for the next 300 years. Nakoma Had foreseen his end and hid his Heir Tri Shisou away to grow and take his fathers revenge. 300 years after his Fathers Death, Tri found himself in the heart of emperor-less Japan.Using the constant wars of Japan to his advantage he amassed the largest army the kingdom had ever seen.Storming the Genji Village Tri quickly forced the clan into submission and captured Yamiten. Though Yamiten was immortal his physical body could never bring him death, so Tri had his body chopped into a million pieces and used the winds of a Dragon to spread them through the earth. Nearly 900 Hundred thousand years later Yamiten's pieces finally found their way back to each other making him whole once more. Yamiten had used all this time in the realm of Jo-shin to train and find true enlightenment. Returning to Japan He had found his clan had been exiled becoming a warring tribe of Samurai and shinobi under Tri's Leadership. With Rage and pain in his heart he spent the next 30 years tracking them down. Finding them in the heart of The Oxinyth Continent he was quick to demonstrate his rightful power, ripping the powers of the Shisou clan right out of their hands, he left all but Tri defenseless and mortal, Sealing his own powers away Yamiten Baited Tri into a duel for the clan and Killed his nephew with his own two hands. His only statement before taking back the helm of his clan was. "With no home we must cling to what makes us Genji and not let men like this destroy that way."

Genji Clan Today

Today The Genji clan reside in a Mountain range to the east of Tergaron, Once nomadic and barbaric they have slowly recovered and found their way back to their beliefs, No much has been heard from the clan since they hid away into the mountains but one can only assume what Yamiten has planned for the Clan he holds so dear and those he has found worthy to stand by his side.
