The Darkstar Family
Lady Yuki Darkstar
From the mountains that border the Snow Clan land to the mountains that border the Levar Clan land, with a vast ocean to the west and a very ancient forest to the east resides the land of the Darkstar family. This family is pure blood noble vampires and for the longest time was held in high esteem of other pure blood families and closes friends to countless rulers of many different races with ties to the ancient royal vampire line. Unlike other vampires, the Darkstars were friendly to all and feed upon only those of the criminal element.
Over time, the Darkstars gained the loyalty of a giant dire wolf pack that emerged from the ancient forest. These wolves are always in the shadows, watching and protecting the current head of the family and have gained the reputation as being Darkstar Shadows.
As with all those whose reputation soars so high, the Darkstars were soon visited by tragedy. Lord Alister Darkstar and his wife Lady Cecila Darkstar had only one child, a daughter called Yuki. They doted upon their child and indulged her but held to one ancient tradition, an arranged marriage. When Yuki confessed to being in love with another and not willing to accept the arranged marriage, her parents accepted her desire and ended all talks with the would be groom's family. This single event allowed the conceal hatred of the hidden enemies to become public and shortly that hatred took the form of a raid with the result of all members of the Darkstar family slain except Yuki. She lived to be an example to other pure blood daughters to not break tradition.
Time passed and Lady Yuki spent her time giving piano concerts, taking care of the people who refused to abandon the last Darkstar out of centuries old loyalty. She has cultivated new friendships and has gathered under her roof, friends and adopted family members. She is currently with a man named Silver but that is a story for another time.
